For a foster child or young person a new placement can be daunting, exciting, nerve-wracking and much more. Before your foster child arrives you will be trying to get as prepared to make the transition as smooth as possible. Preparing the child or young person’s bedroom is a very important part of this and here are a few tips to help you prepare and set up their room.
Encourage your foster child or young person to get creative and bring some of their personality to the room. If you are happy for them to stick photos or posters on the wall then let them know. If not, a white board or chalk board is a great way for them to express themselves whilst not damaging your walls!
